Long Press-On Nails That Look Natural and Feel Effortless
Go for maximum impact with long press-on nails from Lilac St: Creative, edgy, and glamorous. You’ll be amazed at the manicure you create at home in just 10 minutes. These long press-ons easily rival salon-made acrylics, whether you’re looking to turn heads or engage in ASMR-worthy nail tapping.
The Benefits of Long Press-On Nails
- Glamor and Drama – If you're already going for nail extensions, why not go all-out? Long press-on nails deliver the most impact, elongating your fingers and infusing every hand movement with confidence-boosting drama.
- Salon Alternative – Long press-on nails today can easily rival salon acrylics. From their shape to how seamlessly they can fit over the nails, they’re incredibly convincing at a fraction of the cost or time commitment.
- Affordable – Long press-on nails are an affordable indulgence, especially compared to the cost of maintaining professional acrylic extensions. Priced out, even over a year, press-on nails can save you hundreds of dollars.
- Time-Saving – Applying long press-on nails is incredibly quick and easy — it’s even faster than waiting for nail polish to dry. You can complete a manicure in just 10 minutes!
- Gentle and Easy-to-Remove – Nail extensions can take a toll on your natural nails, but with press-ons, lightweight extensions, and easy removal, keep things gentle.

Application Made Simple
Prep your Nails
First, do your typical manicure prep like removing old nail polish, washing your hands, and pushing back the cuticles. That said, skip soaking your nails — saturating them with too much moisture could compromise the longevity of your press-on manicure.
Next, gently buff the surface of your nail to give it a matte finish. This slightly rough surface will help with adhesion. Finally, finish cleaning and dehydrating your nails with the help of an alcohol wipe.
CHoose the fit
Select all of the long press-on nails you’ll be using in advance. Find the right fit by measuring the press-ons against your natural nails.
Look for a comfortable fit that covers the entire nail without extending over the skin. If you can’t find a perfect fit for one of your nails, you can file down the sides for a custom fit.
Lay down the nails you’ve selected in order so you can have an easier time applying them.
Apply Adhesive
Select your first press-on (ideally starting with the pinky of your less dominant hand). Apply a small drop of adhesive to the center of the press-on, and brush a thin layer over your natural nail.
Press-On Time
Bring the press-on against your nail at a 45-degree angle, and then press it down for about 20 seconds. Rock your finger back and forth while pressing to make sure there are no air bubbles.
Nail by nail application
Now you can move on to the next nail, following the same process of gluing and pressing! We recommend alternating hands as you apply, and saving your pointer finger and thumb for last — this will give you the most dexterity during your application.
post care and longevity
Once you’ve applied all of your press-ons, you’re pretty much done! You can apply a little bit of cuticle oil to nourish the skin around your nails.
To get your long press-on nails to last longer, avoid exposing them directly to water for prolonged periods, and don’t use them as tools.
Tip: Wear gloves when washing dishes to protect your press-on nails.
Remove press-ons
Your nails will start to grow out a little after a week or two, and the adhesion will naturally weaken. At that point, removing your press-ons will be easy! Fill a small bowl with warm water and a few squirts of dish soap and oil. Submerge your fingers for 15-20 minutes, and then use a cuticle stick to gently pry off the press-ons.
Tip: Dry your press-ons and buff away the dried adhesive, then save them for next time you’re in the mood for long extensions!
